Paper Cinema: Moon, film stills, 2009

Paper Cinema: Moon, 2009 represents the temporal face of the moon through a series of release print stills which have been scanned and then blended into a film. Created using paper and carbon based processes, each frame merges slowly with the previous, creating an enduring cycle of movement. The simplistic graphic quality and slow pace of the artwork work allows for a meditative experience. The viewer is able to reflect on their own perceptions of outer space, pondering what it means ultimately to exist in the broader scheme of the universe.
